Whether you wish to inspire or be inspired, words have power.
That’s why motivational quotes are so great. I read them, I share them; I post them on my website and social media. I have them on my desktop, my phone, and on my walls a home.
As Yehuda Berg said:
“Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively use words of despair.
Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.”
I think that sums it up pretty well – the words we choose to use with ourselves and those around us can have a huge impact for better or for worse.
Tony Robbins says “Words not only create emotions, they create actions. And from our actions flow the results of our lives.”
Words can be formed into great speeches which can rally a nation, words can be arranged into deeply moving poetry, song lyrics, stories and novels which can inspire generations long after the original author has passed away.
So choose your words carefully.
